Supercharger for VQ35??

does anyone know if any companies (Stillen or others) are working on a supercharger for the VQ35 (since Nissan will have this engine in several cars), i have an auto 2k2 max but would do all i could to get a supercharger for it while still keeping the gaskets, tranny, and anything else that a supercharger may 'mess up' or have a weakening effect on in perfect condition--i don't have a clue where they would put it but i would definitly be interested in getting one as soon as they are available

BTW how bad is it to have a supercharger on an auto max? do they affect a lot of other parts on the car (i.e. headers)--i'm not a big 'racing' guy but would love to get the most out of my auto max, any help is appreciated
thanks

I am hopeing Nismo comes out with a SC next fall! If they do I will probably buy it because nissan will warranty it. I will buy the extended warranty for my car too .

good question.
it would seem like a lot of HP for a front wheel drive car.

Hogan, I dont doubt your abilities. Just wondering where will it fit? The 3.5 engine seems to take up almost the whole engine bay. Does not seem like much room.

You got any pics of approximately where it will fit and how much "modifications" will be needed?

I am still interested in getting one for my 2K1, got some money finally, but now dont know whether to go S/C or Turbo? I want all the HP I can get to the wheels for the best price.

The external demensions of the 3.5 VQ are the same as the 3.0. The engine cover makes it look a lot bigger though. Stillen's current SC probably will not fit because of what I believe is called a new axcess port for the timing chain which is in the way. A possible solution for that is to make a new axcess port thingy cover that is flat with the engine rather then sticking out. It does not look like it would be very hard to cook something up to make the SC fit.

mattattax, "hopeing" . I would really like to see Nismo come out with a SC becuase I would not put another SC on any of my car's with out a factory waranty.

If the pass side of the engine is small, you could always just mount a real small pulley and attach a long rod to it. Mount the SC on the driver's side of the engine using a mount from the engine/tranny. They already to this for some Civic SC and I've seen them on Mazda V6s.

I smell tranny problems--for me anyways

doable, but how do you think the other parts on the car would react to it, i don't see anyone being able to just add a S/C without other mods (headers, gaskets, ect.) do you think the 2k2 auto tranny could put down the power in its stock form?
