Ok so installed the axle, the tick noise went away but a screech grinding noise remains, I'm sure is the bearing

No issues ,two hr job in the baking Texas heat'
Lots if water breaks and also changed the ps suction hose.

If it leaks fluid after this it has to be the pump,i hope not

Passenger and driver lower control arms and bushings, both outer tie rods, and both sway bar links on my I35. Feels like a new car lol

Replaced my A/C condenser today. In 85 degree heat. Without removing the radiator from the car. Had some problems with the hardline on the driver side. Got the connection as tight as I could, but the line of the condenser was starting to rotate. The metal in these things are quite malleable, so I'm kinda worried I might have damaged it. The litmus test will be Friday when I get the A/C recharged.

Well, I decided to charge the A/C system myself. Saved almost $100 doing it. Starting off I did find a leak on the high pressure line between the compressor and the condenser. Retighten and fixed it up. So far no leaks, A/C is icy cold. Even the low pressure line is getting frosty which is it did before I had problems. Now to monitor for a couple days and see where we're at.

^ nice i need to recharge mine as well.
I installed my old "spare" indash in the maxima today. Not too happy with metra kit fitment. It has a small gap below the bezel/above climate control. This seems to vary as i tighten/loosen screws holding deck in.
Im gonna go back at it when time allows to finish a few more wires for subs/amp.

When they made the car and said "not serviceble" for the fuel filter, they didn't anticipate our fuels having 10+% of ethanol. Shame really, a real shame.

^I don't like it because it's sticky like honey after it dries and
you have to buff it out with a towel to get it smooth.

Don't know if that's normal for a conditioner.
I'm used to more liquidity stuff that's easy to wipe off like armerall or miguers stuff.

Check out all that grime in the cracks.
That shiny stuff on the leather is actually my butt juices and body oils. lol

Steamed, before conditioning.
Took off all the grime and oils.
Don't think a cleaner would of done that good of a job.

I fabricated my own axel back 3" exhaust. Thats what I did with my 5.5 gen today. I bought a Carltanator a few months back which only is the resonator no pipping. So with cattman out of no longer making parts and the fact that all of the exhaust parts that are nice are enormously overpriced I ordered pipping and a muffler and made one myself. I can weld, have a brain, and mechanical ability so why not. It wasn't too difficult and it still needs a tweak or two but I'm extremely happy with it. Ad to that the fact that it cost me fractions of the price and I'm even more happy.

Today i parked my maxima in garage for the first time. Ever since we bought the house...its been a long slow process organizing belongings.

Accomplishments Once inside; I rewired my fogs/Installed leds in doors, lisc plate, reverse lights (festoons are coming for domes)/ Finished installing a dual din.

Next up is Focal Speakers in door sitting and waiting/Compass rearview/change all door handles to oem chrome accent gle style/racingline fstb/GAB re-do/plus a long list..mostly visual mods for now.

Nice driving award, 290,000k miles is quite an accomplishment. Subtract about 200k and that's where my Max is at, guess I still have a LOOONG way to go with my Max.

It's very doable. Patience is a must and I'm not going to claim its as pretty as a cattman system. It sounds great and I have probably $140 maybe a little less into it.

I plan on posting pictures as soon as its 100% done and I'm satisfied with it. I would use torches an braze the pieces. A cutting wheel or your preferred method is a must. Doing it again I could make it much more pleasing to the eye. If you're close to jersey I can help you if you would like to try.

Anyway. Used a sweet inline filter after the cooler. Should be good for some years.

Are these metal shavings attached to your magnets ?? How much gunk was there, and what's the mileage on the car?
I guess I should also drop the pan .... Also, where did you buy the filter?

Filter from amazon. It's paper filter plus a magnet.
Yes, that's basically a metal paste on the magnets. Almost 200,000 miles.
