Oh boy, you have no idea.

My **** was boiling with furious anger, that was a real classic a-hole bird. He kamikaze style attacked me and dropped a turd in my trunk, I'm still thinking about this one move he made.

I almost ran to grab my bb gun and go after the bastard . . .

Infiniti analog clock out of an i30!

Took out the stock ashtray door and used the lower storage cup out of an i30 for a storage place. A few hours of dremel work, "welding" plastic with a soldering iron, sanding, and painting and there she is. Used the digital clock wiring for it and will be placing something else in the dashboard clock space.. im thinking an indoor/outdoor temp gauge.

So ive heard about the clock bulb! Both were out when I originally pulled the clock. Since then ive swapped in blue leds to match the rest of my interiori reused the white housing that holds the ashtray bulb by cutting a hole and cementing it on there... so it has light in the space below. ill take a nighttime shot later tonight.

Thanks for the comment! Im rather pleased with how it turned out considering most of my ideas like this end up failing when it comes to actually doing them:[ i was extremely surprised that I didnt have to alter anything in the dash for this to fit in there normally. Its big enough to hold 2.5 decks of cards. In the future ill probably try to fit the old wood grain door around the clock so it looks more like its supposed to be there. Also ill be making an insert

Sorry about that birdy-bomber! Set up some rat traps with bird seed

Found my A/C leak. Added more refrigerant, noticing A/C was still not cold, but at least the compressor was cycling. After shutting off the car, noticing a hissing noise and it was coming from the condenser. Guess what I'm doing next...

^ yup, I try to clay bar once every summer. Its not something I enjoy but do. Otherwise the mothers caranuba works excellent all year round.

Why remove snorkel esp. if doing gab? You will lose power and the gab without snorkel will be starved for air at WOT. Gab is best with snorkel. And I will argue that any SRI setup benefits from the snorkel. My filter was dirty exactly where the snorkel runs into it, it delivers air to the filter very well.

gab

I was looking for a throatier sound initially. but yes i can attest that it seems to be suffocating for air at higher rpm (5k plus)
i will put the snorkel back on. and as far as gab goes- this time going to drill 4 holes instead of hanger method.

looking at replacing my air filter- I may mod & add back the snorkel. I just wish the hood could better vent out hot air.

The hood is just fine. This is why you want the snorkel in place, not only does it deliver outside air right to your filter at speed (I'm talking about disconnected snorkel) but also blocks hot air from the radiator and engine just by being in the way.

The snorkel produces best results, my filter and whole intake pipe is never even warm after a hard drive. And the other good thing about the snorkel is you can use it to mount a heat shield down the whole left side of the snorkel that will really block all the hot air and basically be like a shield between your intake area and the rest of the engine.

No, they suck now.

Everything is a sparker or snappers.
Even M80s aren't M80s anymore.

This man knows what Im talking about. When I was 15 we could spend 20 bucks and have enough fireworks for the whole day. And we had the real M80's aka Blockbusters. Not to mention the REAL illegal stuff they used to sell openly in chinatown.

Not to mention, we had shooters! Now there is no more shooters at all they all just stand on the ground and spew some stuff 5 feet in the air. I was disappointed highly, plus they cost lile $50 for 20min of fun. Horrible compared to the good ol days.

/rant lol

Smacked my first and hopefully last major pothole. It looks like I put a bubble in my tire. Awesome!

I also ordered a dash kit and harnesses for a head unit install, along with some trimbrite blackout tape for the chrome window trim. A stock clarion speaker and a thick plain black license plate frame were ordered as well.

I can't believe I saw the "Replace your coils on a 2000" advice like five freaking years ago and didn't do it until now. I have throttle response again! And torque! It's driving like it did when it was new, and I love my car all over again.

Replace your coils, kids. Seriously.

What do you mean by this exactly? Were all or most of your coils bad? I've only replaced one so far.

Realized today I haven't gotten a check engine light for 400 miles. Was getting the crankshaft position sensor code and the dreaded p0430 cat code..... I changed the sensor (thanks to maximajoe) and now both codes have disappeared..... Before I was getting them everyone 30 or so miles after clearing.

true

And that's why I don't mind it if they do their job PROPERLY, it's a job so it's not personal. But it's just like with the cops, some of them are cool but it's the scumbags that really make my urine boil.

Finally found which ignition coil

So after 6-8 months of only P1302 and intermittent shuddering like engine was mis/not-firing. I decided to use Car Gauge Pro and shut off each cylinder one by one under load, and tada!!!... A P0304 came up.

Maybe coincidence the second code came up after this 'active test' but I'm not complaining.

Replaced bank 4 ignition coil today. Finger crossed this is the only coil failing.

^What's up with these I drove it today and I looked at it today?
duh

Changed the front crank seal.
I tightened it down to 150ft/lb because that's all my little tw would do.
Should it go more? I can't find specs.

There was some leakage definitely coming from the seal but perhaps from
the top oil pan as well. Next oil change is in September so I'll have to wait to change it if it is.

I also found this little bushing wedged between the arm and where it mounts.
idk if it's even mine. Doesn't look like it.
