Bought some ATE PremiumOne rotors and Monroe ceramic pads, gonna have them put on sometime next week. I had basic rotors and these Monroe pads on my 97 and about a 9 months later it still brakes hard and well, hope I get even better results on my 01 since it will have better rotors to go along with them.

i'm also changing all four of my rotors and brakes this friday, but i didn't go with the expensive kind.. i went with some decent ones from advanced auto parts, is this a relatively easy job to do?

Rear rotors may be stuck/rusted on. I basically hammered mine off from inside the wheel well with a mini 2lb. sledge. Scrap yard didn't care that they were unusable when I was done, lol.

And I recommend getting the caliper compression tool for the rears. I wrenched mine back in, took forever plus I had to remove the calipers to do it.

People on the forums do it themselves all the time, it's nothing too difficult. I don't have the tools for it though so I'm taking mine to my mechanic

Replaced the oil cooler seal (no more leaks... for a while I hope), changed the oil and filter (Mobil1), replaced the air filter with a K&N, and put on my 4DSC decals that I got from ERTY67. They look great!

Did 2 New outer tie rod ends. The passenger side had some play in it and I did the drivers just to both new. It's crazy how much better the steering feels just from the tie rods.

Yesterday:
I did the GAB, took it off and did the GAB - Ghetto. Fun mod and I was able to get an airbox from a part out so I still have a stock filter holder.

Today:
I Replaced the air filter, added fluid to my leaking power steering and put terminal shims on the battery to improve the connection.

Went to the grocery store, came home and my new spanner wrenches arrived at my door step. Coilovers installed.

Side note: I'm really surprised with how well the Ksport's ride. I'm at full damper and 6mm of preload all around.

Replaced the O2 Sensor (Bank 2, Sensor 2).
Gutted the Bank #2 Pre-cat.

It was a PITA!

But now my car got a totally free exhaust system.

I replaced the alternator on my wife's 2001 Maxima. I'm proud the job went as easily as it did, being completed from start to finish in under two hours.

Much thanks to the folks on this site for the info that helped make it happen!!

Nexus 7

mounted my nexus 7 tablet in my dash opening.. my aftermarket stereo is mounted behind the tablet and audio is running from stereo aux to the tablet.
this is not 100% complete i still need to run power and figure out a way to control volume "steering wheel control".. but installing this was much easier than i thought

+2 Really nicely done! Is that a standard size faceplate that it fits into? It lines up perfectly.

it,s the GXE double din trim. nexus 7 fits it perfectley with very little trimming.
the only thing i trimmed is the plastic clips that slides into the dash opening.

if you have the metra double din trim it fits it nicely with little trimming. i went with the GXE cause i found it on ebay for 30$ that was a sweet deal

Well last weekend I finally got a little shop time. Got the 6th Gen BBK installed. Reman calipers with Power Slot rotors and hawk HPS pads. Put on the winter 17" 350z wheels. Had the road trip to Edmonton and back over the long weekend. Mounted up the Thule. Also installed PIAA LED driving lights.

Went to the junkyard and got a glasses holder compartment
that actually has it's clip intact.

The who thing is smaller and didn't fit for some reason...
So I just switched out the lids and now I have a glasses holder
that doesn't RATTLE AND FLY OPEN AT EVERY BUMP.

Today I put the Maxima up on the lift to address a few problems.. Putting together a parts list and making sure all my ducks are in a row so I don't have to do this again in the middle of a WI winter.

Ordering front pads, outer tie rod ends, outer CV boots, stabilizer bar links and bushings, rebuilding/replacing left rear caliper, and oil pan gasket. Trying to tighten things up in the front end, then I'll look into a suspension for spring.

purchased and installed a new 01 MAF with the thermistor swap. along with new plugs 2 weeks old, and new Cam sensors, and for the life of me i'm still getting random misfire codes. money well spent as throttle response is back, but the random misfire wont go away. my car is now a New York smog problem.

Yesterday got a new brake master cylinder installed. I think today I might have time to get in new control arms and get my tech to do my custom exhaust.

Busy week for the Maxima. Full Stillen Classic kit (courtesy of mistmax2000), new dvd/navi head unit with color matched Metra bezzle, and some engine bay dress up. Threw in Nismo oil and rad caps and I'm waiting on the brushed "MAXIMA" battery tie down from NRG Engineering. Pics are on my Instagram, I'm too lazy to repost them.
