Power Steering Cooler

Hey I was wondering if anyone has ever installed a 4th Gen P/S oil cooler tube assembly onto a 5th gen....????? The 4th Gen is about a 6 foot long loop(past the radiator core support) and the 5th Gen doesn't ever travel past the radiator core support.....Maybe this is why the 4th Gen usually doesn't have any P/S issue with thier High Pressure Hose.....

I think you're ahead of the curve on yet another one.

I simply observed that on a few occasions you have demonstrated unique automotive insight into areas of the 5th gen that have either failed to be considered or lacking wide application by most members. I'm therefore not convinced you'll get an answer to your question. That's all.

I hope you realized this was a compliment.

The issue with the high pressure hose goes beyond the Maxima. Evidently Pathfinders of the same years have the same problem. It's a manufacturing issue where the hose just cannot sustain the pressure in the environment of a vibrating engine.

I think it's heat related that causes the premature failures

I happen to work for a hydraulics company, if someone would donate a broken high pressure hose with good fittings, I could have a super heavy duty hose made for the 5th gen. I'm having issues with my power steering, I'm refilling the reservoir every other day.
