looking at 2002 Maxima

I'm looking for a clean 02 maxima with 201k miles. He says it has ever option except Nav. Its the 3.5 v6.

He wants $4400 for it. Is this a good deal. What do these things do 0-60 and 1/4 mile?

With 201k miles should I be worried about the reliability of the car?

http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/3802108742.html

Here's the Craigslist add. Let me know what you think

Thanks

200k miles is kinda high..I'd be worried about oil burning issues which are common for these cars. Rust shouldn't be a issue for it down in Texas, just the oil burn might be something to check. Look under the hood make sure it's clean and no visible issue. What kinda maintence has he done? Doesn't say

price too high for high mileage car like that even though it looks to be in great shape. If everything is in goof working order, I wouldn't pay more that 3600 for it.

check it out for yourself and decide if its worth it.

X2 on the price. KBB in perfect or excellent condition is only 4288 good is only 3800 so might see if 34 $100 will talk

Mid to low on a stock car? And it's not doing 255HP to the wheels

Seems like you just got your license. I wouldn't get this & begin to romp on it.
Clean car, but high miles for that price.

Is that the color you really want, both int & ext?

I'd wait a while until you found almost exactly what you wanted.

my 03 with 105k is only worth 4.4k w/ plenty of mods.

that guy is on crack, find another car.

edit: I also doubt it has every feature/option except nav.

Mid 14s stock, you'll need basic bolt on mods to touch low 14s.

With that mileage i'd offer him $3500, theres plenty of other Maximas out there with less mileage you can pick up for 4-5K.

This one is just a 03 SE. I don't see near all the options...

I would try to pay the lower price the guys are suggesting, or just wait to find one that has most of what you want & less miles.

200k miles is a lot, I'd try $3k. With the mileage, I'd expect various issues in the near future.

stock 6 speed record for 2002 is 14.0X

0-60 is right under 6 seconds with good driver & shifts

There are alot of Maximas out there especially 4AT ones, I would wait for a better one myself, I bought mine with 137,881 on the clock for only 3500. It does have every option except Nav but its a 2003 GLE. I personally would buy a 6MT now after having mine swapped, not sure how I lived before the gear thrashing....
