2002 Maxima GLE // Sway bar link and bushing replacement

Can anyone advise what the flat labor time is to replace both front sway bar links and sway bar bushings?

I am receiving quotes ranging from 1 hour labor to 3 hours labor. The shop quoting 3 hours offers a lifetime labor and parts warranty.

Going to use Moog parts with lifetime warranty as follows:

K90431 - front sway bar link ~ $40
K90432 - front sway bar link ~ $40
K90587 - sway bar bushings ~ $20 each

Any recommendations on other brand of components?

Thx

SUPER easy to do yourself.

Guess how much that costs??

I wouldn't pay more than an hour.

Edit: buy graphite impregnated polyurethane bushings if you can.

Never have to worry about those again IMO.

Book time is 2 hrs for the bushings and 0.8 hrs for BOTH end links. (or 0.5 each)

Yes, very easy to do on your own. A jack, PB plaster, and a small 20$ set of metric sockets (if you don't already have one) will do, along with the parts needed.

Considering most shops labor rates, it's far easier/cheaper/efficient to do yourself.

Depending on the area, most shops will try and get over on you for install prices...

+1 very easy. The bushings a little bit harder, but I did the ends links in about 3 mintues not including the time to hoist the car or take off the wheels... The bushings maybe 7.5 min cause I have to set up the air ratchet...

I need to replace mine (sway arm bushings), and the problem I have is:

1. Can I just remove/loosen the clamp that holds the bushing, slide/push the old
bushing out, then slide the new one in?

2. This may be too simplistic. If so, what ? .... Do I have to uninstall the entire sway
bar?

Thanks in advance - and I appreciate your advice !

Depends where you're located, and how much corrosion there is, it can make a job a breeze or pita. I didn't have much luck replacing the end links, for they were seized on and the bolts stripped, so I had to cut and drill. That was NOT fun, took me many hours for that whole job. So take that into consideration if you are going to attempt it yourself.
