False hopes

Hey .org,

Just wanted to know what ever happened to these. They made it seem doable and then never came back with anything:

1. The avalon ppl telling us how to adjust the throttle body to achieve 100% open (or are they keeping this 4 themself).

2. The ppl who wanted a test car(in the San Fran area I think) with an intake to finalize their ECU that would remove speed limit, and yield some HP.

Is anyone on the board cool with any of the violators that we could drop them a friendly poke, and ask them whats up.

Time 4 for some sponsibility!!!

cause me needs these mods...

Not interested in #2. It's not a new ECU, but a piggyback ECU... and they want to charge full price.

TPS Sensor and TB Plate are doable...

If you have OBD software you can adjust the TPS from ~90% up to 100%. You mark the current TPS position, loosen the screws, rotate the TPS until you measure 100%, and retighten the screws. I'm just not sure what this will cause the ECU to do.

My TB Plate is not perfectly horizontal, but the only way I could see to adjust it is to file/dremel down the stop edge on the throttle cable reel. It hits on the TB housing, so unless you can diassemble everything I don't see a better way.

This is doable, but someone ELSE(READ Kevin!) has got to try this one first. Sorry.

that will adjust the TPS, but I think you will still need to make the throttle plate open up wider....

Uhh. That's what I said.

Both changes will improve something, but whether or not it will be noticeable is the question.

Adjusting the TPS to 100% at WOT will allow the ECU to respond with more fuel.

Modifying the Throttle Body allows the throttle plate to open more horizontally and reduce turbulance into the manifold.
