Thanks. Previous owner claims 248whp dyno tuned with vafc2. First thing when i got home I found a knock sensor code. vafc was wired wrong and tapped into the sensor. No idea how much its making now but I'm anxious to find out.

Test pipe?

The AE muffler is the same as 02-03.


Now how was the VAFC wired again?

No wb so I cleared the vafc adjustmenta after I fixed the wiring. I assume the dyno tune was done with a tail sniffer. The purple wire was tapped into the ks. Using a safc wire guide for the car this mistake gets made a lot. Had it like that for about 3 hours on my 4.5 gen so I knew what to look for. MY old car wouldn't even break traction wired like that. The 5.5 still had a lot of power. I bypassed the ks to start with and still had a code. Cut the purple wire and code dissapeared.

I have a test pipe he gave me with the car but its too long and pushes the b pipe into the car. It has a gutted cat as of now which I know isn't ideal but ill get a test pipe that fits or shorten this one eventually.

I know the ae and the 02 muffler is the same but the muffler was robbed from an ae when he got tired of the sound of the catback he bought. I have that muffler as well and it appears to be the greddy evo knock off like obx makes.
