Possible c/v axle problem??! Help!

Just put a new c/v axle on the passenger side of my 03 maxima, and now I sometimes get a clunk in my right front wheel, almost always when I'm turning and accelerating at the same time. Any ideas?!? I was thinking maybe I didn't tighten the ball joint all the way, I'm just so confused now.

Where did you buy it from?
Reman or new?
I recently replaced mines and it was a reman from car quest. It makes the same clunk noise you are talking about. For $50 ill take the clunk noise over $500 OEM.

I remember I was hard up for cash so I bought one off eBay, like 80 bucks. I bought it a while ago though because a boot had torn and spewed grease everywhere for a while. Finally got around to it

Same thing happen to mines. Think u got a new reman like me. Long as you don't feel a difference in driveability I wouldn't worry bout it.
I dnt plan on changing mines anytime soon!

Check to make sure they re-tightened the sway bar end links. very often they are loosened to remove the axle. A clunk sounds like a not fully tight end link.
And yes the after market axles are absolute crap. I have one in and it feels like i am driving in gravel but interestingly only sometimes. ( I had the axle checked by multiple mechanics to make sure it is seated correctly so that does not seem to be the problem.)

Yea I had both of them done after the axle was done because the passenger side was broken. It never fixed the problem
