low beam wont work (tried everything)
Hi guys
I had high wattage bulbs on my car when my lowbeam on my pass side went out. Fogs work fine high beams are fine drl should be fine and confirmed they are fine. I had the hw bulbs on since sept. What i did to troubleshoot:
Changed harness
Changed bulbs.
I tried reading on the org and some folks recommend changing the drl module? Or something. Was wondering if anyone else had this issue.. i will test the electrical current on the wire and pigtail.

Got some updates here
Checked fuses everything works fine on both sides lights.
Checked both relays using test light. Current on 2/4 sides of relay same on both sides
I ended up using a test light and this is what i found when the lowbeam application is on.
On the harness on the working side left right have current except for the top (green i believe)
On the pass side all 3 sides of the pigtail light up.
During highbeam and dlr mode the lights work
simultaneously.

This is a classic example of a DRL module that has a problem. And most DRL modules can be repaired by re-soldering the connections inside where the connectors attach to the printed circuit board.

Fixing it might be more expensive than you think at any shop. I would recommend getting a relay wire harness for HIDs (even if you don't have HIDs) to send power straight from the battery to the light bulb that doesn't work. In fact, one relay is going to power both sides if you want it to.
This is going to be much easier if the side that DOES work is the side that has the battery. If you wanna know more tell me so I can tell you about the wiring if you do need help
