I dont know how bad yours is but My is just starting to bubble up and the highest quote i got was $1000 each side. The best quote I got was $800 for both sides. And hes going to do my lower Rad. support for that price.

I had my 2001 SE worked on last year for this. Both rear wheel arches were rusting through. Found an independent shop to do the work for around $750.

You definitely need to shop around. $4,900 sounds like they want to replace the entire quarter panel, as opposed to just cutting-out the rusted area and welding-in new metal.

I have little rust specs around my wheel well I was planning on getting fixed this summer.. hope to god its not that much-_-. Honestly you may be better off doing a diy bondo job. Cant look any worse. If its really bad you may need that Styrofoam spray stuff. Fill the cavity with it so it has something to give it structure.
Nothings scarier than rust

thats absurd. just got a second quote (higher of the two) and it was $850 for both rear arches. all they do is order in two front quarters, cut out the cancer, cut out the arches on the opposing new front quarters and weld in, smooth, paint/blend and clear.

you should hunt around.

You are in the USA. No way it can be that expensive.

I paid a shop in CANADA $1000 for the left and right side... They cut out the old rust (the one side they basically had to remove the entire wheel well), weld in new metal, rust proof it and then match the paint.
