front suspension

2000 max.. lowered with a stiffer spring...can you use a normal strut or must you use a high performance stiffer strut? what did I hear about trimming the bump stop on the top of the strut tower?? necessary?? I replaced with an oem Monroe strut and its bottoming out after less than two years. Please some wisdom!

Lol dude. What you dont understand is that many members have been here for years, some even a decade - perhaps the reason why you see people shootin' the sh*t with eachother is because they are friends!

Sorry that you are upset that you arnt being spoonfed on what the "best exhaust" is as if this is a video game and everything has stats next to them. There are several reputable brands that make exhausts for these cars which offer a variety of looks, sound, and prices - thus the reason why you can ask such an subjective question and get so many different answers.

You also must realize that, as previously stated, this forum has been around for many years, and the same exact questions like yours get asked constantly. Thats why you will see a large thread that has compiled years of advice and hands on knowledge being referred to - the horse has been beaten to death and people get sick of spoonfeeding every noob (no offense intended) who decides to dive headfirst into modding their maxima with zero research done on their part.

Hell, i can confidently say that **every** topic/issue/problem regarding these cars, especially these older maximas, has been discussed on this website more than once. If you type some keywords into the searchbar you will finds DOZENS of threads regarding your very question - and countless responses for you to sink your teeth into. It is very possible for a person who isnt even mechanically inclined to learn just about every aspect of these cars on this forum without ever asking a question simply because there is such a wealth of info already saturating this website. The majority of threads are asking for clarification of info from an older thread, or simply due to the poster being too lazy to look.

So - the moral of this wall of text is learn and love the stickies and the search bar. This forum will only put out what you are willing to put in. My personal rule of thumb is to avoid making a thread unless ive already spent nearly an hour doing my own research via stickies/searching as the info is almost certainly out there - its just a matter of finding it.

And remember, we have lives too. If you find it too inconvienent to do your own research, think how other members here must feel having to do your homework for you. And if you still cant be bothered to spend a some quality time reading, then perhaps you should seriously reconsider making modifications to your car.

It is still no excuse for some ciberg bastards to just sit on their rear and type ignorant responses 7 days of the week just to gain a damn post count.
I learned to either speak the truth or keep that *** shut.
