5th Gen Exhhaust

I'm stationed in Korea and would like to replace my 5th Gen Exhaust at a reasonable price, any suggestions? It seems I've been duped from the MIDAS shop in Utah before I shipped my 2000 Max overseas and they replaced a resonator with a non OEM part and now I have knocking exhaust thats driving me crazy.

Check your exhaust hangers.

It may be possible to fix your current exhaust.
That's what I would try first.

If your 5th gen is anything like the 4th gen Maxima, there's this useless bracket that goes across the exhaust in that area. Remove it and the annoying knocking/banging will be gone.

Before you do anything, you really need to get under the car and see what exactly is causing the knocking/banging. Should be very quick and easy to determine the source of the noise.

That bracket isnt useless at all.why not just drill 2 holes and put a U-bolt thru it and have it secure the exhaust to stop all the noise and keep it aligned! Everything serves a purpose!
