hey guys in need of help!
My Maxima is a 2000 GLE 3.0 and is suffering some sort of power loss and I'm in need of suggestions. What's happening is that the car will be running fine and then the backlight to the clock and the radio will start to dull and dim, about 60 seconds later the ABS and Traction control light come on. If i keep running the car while this is happening it will fail to upshift leaving it running at high RPM's. I figure its a short somewhere but need to now if anyone has had this problem happen to them.... any suggestions????

 

I would take it to autozone and get the battery and alternator checked for free, check cables to battery and make sure they are tight and not corroded....if that checks out I would swap MAF with new one and see if it goes away.

 

Try to clean the maf sensor first.
