Midnight Tokyo Highway Racing~~
guys, i just played a videogame at my friend's place, he had a game called Midnight Tokyo Highway Racing by Namco, this game has the 2k2 max in it....it was so fun to play cuz u can change anything on ur car, but...the original horse power for 2k2 max is 325...but anyways, it is the game that u can have sweet looking bodykit, side mirrors, and if u change the intake and muffler, the car would be different during the game play....so fun~~ i know it's off topic, but...it's still about maxima....hehe

I think you're talking about Tokyo Extreme Racing: Zero. I think Namco is the one that did this, and TXR is also a Japanese game, but converter to English by Namco or something...
I have that on the PS2 - it's awesome!! Very addictive!!
I don't remember seeing a Maxima in it though. Hmm...maybe you have an older version.

The rally stages are all that I play in that game anymore I got bored with it though because the competition sucks even on the highest difficulty level and I ended up just racing against my own time. zzzzzzzzz....
Then I started playing TXR.
There's a bunch of rally games on the horizon on PS2, though. Hopefully they will make it to the US:

If its a japanese import game then it is probably guessing on the HP rating for the next gen version of the car.
Alot of R&D on the games is prying info out of the car design studios for the next 2 years so the game is not inaccurate at its release time. Games take time to make. Game design usually starts 18-24 months prior to release. Japanese market usually gets the racing games first. The game people tend to work with car company promotions types that try to get the most accurate info on future models so that they can be included in the games. Its a win - win for both parties. The GT3 folks even had access to pre-production test mules in order to help the accuracy of the cars' handling feel for the game.
In short, its very possible this game may be giving us future info on the next Max or at least nissan's early plans for it.
Does Game info list VQ30DETT - VQ35DE - or VK45DE as engine?
I get to read alot of info on this since I work for a large computer store that sells lots of games.

Make what you will of it.
