Car thump
Car thump
So, for the past two days while I've been driving 75+ I've heard a large thump almost as if I've hit something, it sounds like it's coming from the below my shifter
Not sure of this is just me hitting something, I have lowered it an 1" in the front and 1.35" in the back, not much, any help would be appreciated!

More info. Is thw road flat, level, and smooth road? Or are you experiencing it hitting bumps?
Have you looked underneath? Your exhaust look to be hanging low? Could be then that one or both of the exhaust isolators are busted. One is near the engine located right before the flex section. The second is located right behind the resonator, before the first bend around the gas tank.

Flat az freeway, i was recently messing with the exhaust and all of the isolaters checked out fine, I am starting to experience a shaking when I first get up to a speed but after I've passed it it goes away at that speed and below, is this just bad springs, bad cv joint(did notice a lot of splattering on one side the other day, may have been water) or over acceleration, I do accelerate aggressively
Also I don't think I've hit anything recently, not certain though

Your drop is really not that low for these cars, about what I'm at and I clear most everything just fine (except really steep drive way exits - but I also have a 6" round resonator on my 3" catback).
I'm just trying to figure out if something is happening that is causing the thump (ie: transmission shift, dips in road, etc).
If the road is smooth, exhaust is good, then I'm at a loss. However, trying to think outside the box, the only thing other than the exhaust that is located below the shifter is the ebrake cable. Do you use it? Sometimes the lines can freeze up (rust) and maybe that is the cable freeing itself? Maybe the cable has come loose under the car and is smacking around on the heat shield? You should be able to work around the stock exhaust to remove the 10mm bolts holding it in to inspect the lines.
That's all I've got. Let us know what you find.
