Check the small 2 wire connector on the alternator and make sure it stays plugged in and that the contact pins are not backing out of the connector.

What is the voltage output?

Also, what is the apt?

Voltage is around 13 when running then it drops down quickly as the battery loses charge. I made sure the two pin plug is for.my seated but didn't check thepins iI will do that now. What is apt?

the volt should read between 13-14.5 when tested at the battery. If the Alt test right the battery could be going bad, the Alt is charging the battery is not holding the charge
