help with i35 cluster swap

Ok, bear with me there are a few photos to show.

According to Darren at voltagedrop.net this is the wiring to swap for the I35 cluster.

#20 Red/Yellow goes to #49
#22 Black goes to #59
#23 Yellow with red strip silver dots goes to #62
#24 Orange goes to #66

#58 orange/Black goes to #56
#59 Black goes to #57
#60 Blue goes to #58
#62 Blue with pale pink or off white? goes to #20
#63 Green/ Brown goes to #21

so in this photo #62 Blue/pink is in #20 spot and #63 Green/Brown is in #21 spot

in this photo #20 Red/yellow is in #49 spot

in this photo
#58 Orange/black is in #56 spot
#59 Black is in #57 spot
#60 blue is in #58 spot
#22 Black is in #59 spot
#23 Yellow/red is in #62 spot
#24 Orange is in #66 spot.

Yet i have 2 clusters that wont show me the speedometer. My Avic D3 is tapped into the #15 wire which is allowing the Avic D3 to show me my speed.

I have a p0500 code which says the speedo is reading zero when the car is moving. Which is what is happening.

so what the bleep am I missing? All the wires in the right spot, the signal from pin 15 is being read fine by my car navigation unit, and yet 2 clusters wont show me the speed.

Any luck with this Knight? I just picked up an I35 cluster today. I haven't read much about the swap yet. Thanks for the info you have posted. Once I read a bit more I'll help out where I can.

It is. I was at the wreckers getting a cranks position sensor from an I35 and popped out the cluster. It might be a nice change if everything works properly.

Knight what did you do with the #49 pin you removed to make way for #20? It doesn't indicate where to relocate. Did you just leave it loose and tape it up?
