2003 nissan maxima 15" wheels, brake clearance issues?

Hey guys I was looking at getting winter tires on my girlfriends 2003 Maxima Gle. I am curious I was thinking about putting snows on my old set of stock z32 wheels and using those, But I got offered a set of 15" steelies with brand new snows for dirt cheap! I was wondering on the 03 with factory 17" wheels is there any brake clearance issues running a 15"?

Thank you!

You might have some issues. Smallest wheel on a 5.5 gen was 16". I'd check fitment first, but I'd guess it will be very close.

I have used the 15 inch wheels from my 1997 Max on my 2000 without any problem. I don't know if the 5.0 and 5.5 have same/different size rotors.

Maybe this is too simple of a solution, but why don't you measure the diameter of your rotor and the opening in the rim?

Also, what is the size of the rim on your spare tire?

Yeah the 02-03 have slightly lager rotors. And yup seems like a no brainer.

Unless you wanna downgrade to the 2000-01 warpage prone sized 11.0" rotors, 15" steelies won't fit over the 11.75" 02-03 rotors! I'd suggest upgrading to 12.6" rotors to get away from those warpage prone 11.0" & 11.75" rotors up keep your 17" SE wheels and tires!
