I need help immediately

So, today I'm installing my 5 piece phenolic spacer kit, spark plugs, and valve covers. I'm on to the valve covers, but for some reason the front one is stuck. I've undone all the bolts and hoses and have pulled hard on it but it's not coming off. Does anybody know how to remove it? Do I need to pry it open?

You sure EVERYTHING is disconnected?

If so I would CAREFULLY pry from a corner... Maybe the gasket melted

Try Moving from corner to corner, wiggle lightly to ensure that you don't damage the mating surface

+1. Gently hit the cover with a rubber mallet. Prying could cause potential issues/future leaks.

and secondly, never listen to george.

Make sure you have some gasket sealer handy. Had to do this twice because the new gasket didn't seal the first time. Oil leaked out of that left front corner and ruined my 2nd alternator.

As long as the surface is clean and he corners near the camshaft humps are seals (RTV)and the Covers aren't warped you shouldn't have any leaks...
