so iv been looking into upgrading front brakes after winter... and got some questions... with the 370z akebono calipers do i just need a bracket and brake shield? the lines are good? and will they clear 18's from g35 coupe? also i heard g35 brembo calipers fit 5.5gen...true? with the akebono 370z... im looking at $1k- new calipers, new stoptech rotors, and project MU premium pads... any better ideas?

does the 300zx tt calipers fit with out bracket? and still... stock 11.6... 300zx 12.8... 370z 14.0... if read that it should clear the g35 coupe sport 18's by 2mm both top hat and side...

 

Bad thing about the Wilwoods are the lack of dust boots since they're more of a track setup they may require maintenace quite often to clean and inspect your pistons, seals, and piston bores for debris and wear!

 

meh, not really an issue IMO. Many of my fellow SoCal Max enthusiasts having been running these Wilwoods without issue for close to 5 years. Even still, I wouldn't pass up on them because of what you mentioned.

 

tho ... $650 for 12.6 rotor vs $1,000 for 14.0 rotor? just need bracket for akembono calipers...

 

Contacted fastbrake and they said if I send them an akebono caliper they can try to make a bracket)

 

Just do the gen 6 mod and be happy (enough)

 

I wana go big ... As it is know I over heat all the time... So 6thgen won't cut it.... But I need to find out if the akebono calipers will clear g35 sport 18's.
