Are headers a good option for a AT Maxima??? All opinions welcome

Yes indeed,but maximize their gains a safc will be needed along with other supporting mods, but they're hard to get right now ....or they cost over $800 for the real deal...

There's performance gain vut you need to spend quite a bit of $$$

- Hard to find so even used ones are $$
- Expensive to install (PITA )
- You need something like a Haltech, emanage etc to get 100% out it
-- Can add electrical woes to your car depending on how the unit's installed
- Professional tuning can be very expensive

IMO Cattman Headers were easy as hell to install....Especially compared to OBX with that rear header manifold and y-pipe all 1 piece! There are some Altima Ebay headers that will require fabbing and a custom Ypipe (Schmellyfart used some) but they're based on the Hotshot header design.

Headers are worth it on an AT. But don't expect much off the line. On the highway and higher RPMS they open up a lot. But you should tune it with at least and SAFC. If you want to go any further, get an MT. Trust me, I know lol.
