Hey Buds,

I need a Rebuilt Alternator----and Parts store (Bennett) has one made by BBB industry "Made by Platinum"

ANYWAY, Its comes with a lifetime warranty, but i don't want to have to change it again.

Anyone have experience with this Manufacture?

I have no experience with them, but I'd assume if it's a lifetime warranty, it's pretty solid... since if it were prone to failure, they'd be giving a lot of replacements out for free. Their warranty isn't unlimited or lifetime though according to their website. http://www.bbbind.com/alternators.html

Yup, just like you said.

That's the only issue with "Lifetime" warranties at some chain stores. Yes, it is technically a LT warranty, but just because they'll replace it every time it dies, doesn't mean it's not going to not break every 6 months.

I've got lifetime warranty on my hood struts, but that's not to say I've had to replace them at least 3 times in as many years.

 

Just get a brand new Bosch alternator. Everyone I know including myself has had good luck with them.

 

We are seeing a high failure rate on Alternators and Starters made or rebuilt in China. So be careful.

We do see good results with Bosch alternators from NAPA.
