brake light is on
brake light is on
I just replaced the front brake rotors, pads and the drivers front caliper which was seized. Brakes were bled and fluid filled near the max line, no visible leaks. Brakes work great. While test driving I noticed the brake light illuminated. My experience with other cars is the light comes on when fluid levels are low. What is going on here?
I disagree with George_. You would have the brake & battery lights on for that.
Other than double check the brake fluid level and that the float attached to the master cylinder cap moves without sticking, check the parking brake handle is all the way down an fully depressing the switch.

. I had weird combinations of battery + TCS, battery + ABS + SLIP + TCS and more... New alternator fixed it
