Help! Hit 2K RPM and stalls!!

Hello all. I have a 2000 Maxima with 200k miles.

I'm bringing her back to life after sitting for a few months. I've replaced the battery, fuel pump, fuel filter, MAF sensor, and alternator... but I can't get past this problem.

When driving and accelerating, and I hit 2,000 rpm... the car wants to stall and die. I can't get her to rev past 2,000 rpm when in Drive. BUT... when I'm in Park and idling, I can rev all the way up to the redline.

Any ideas? I've read some posts, but can't find a solution.

Thanks for any help you can provide!!

I'm assuming you have no check engine light, so I would say the MAF is bad.

No check engine light and I've already replaced the MAF with a new one.

Does it look like you are in Limp Mode? If so, your other suspects are the ECTS (Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor), the TPS (Throttle PS), and the CPS (Crankshat PS). Try to replace the ECTS - it's not expensive.

Don't think I'm in the limp home mode because the engine will rev to its redline if I put the transmission into park.

Its only when I'm in drive that it cuts out and stalls when I get to 2000 rpm.

ECU issue?
