Rebuilt pressure PS hose make noise??

Anyone who has had their OEM pressure power steering hose rebuilt, does it make the noise (moan/groan) that some of the aftermarket hoses produce?

The pressure hose on my 2002 maxima is leaking. I would rather not pay $200+ from Nissan for a replacement OEM hose and I'm not interested in a aftermarket hose that makes noise (Been through that on my old 94 maxima).

you can not rebuild pressure hose, it's rubber, it like saying I want to buy a rebuilt tires, only route is just buy a new hose or go to a salvage yard and get a used one.

They are not so much rebuilt per se, however a hydraulic hose company can usually make you a knew hose using the original fittings. From what I've heard nobody has had any issues from doing so. I'd even wager you'd end up with a higher quality hose that way.

As I posted in another thread I've had no issue with my Gates. Some said theirs whined, though.

I would try the Gates (or w/e brand), but buy it from Amazon. If it whines, then send it back haha. It's pretty damn easy to swap in a hose. Just don't remove the old one unless you're satisfied with it.

same experience with my edelmann. no noise whatsoever.

i'd think the "rebuilt" one would be fine as long as the same size hose is used.

bleed it proper and i don't see why you'd have any issues

On an interesting note, I replaced a hose in an acura TL. Install was a pita (thanks honda jerk offs, so retarded), and it started whining days later just a little when turning.

It whined for weeks, but we weren't about to replace it, again (OEM is 200 also). Then one day it ran low on fluid! I was about ready to tear Gates a new *******. Turns out that the thing burped a giant amount of air and almost emptied the resevoir!

I don't think that could happen with ours, but it's pretty damn intriguing LOL
