Post I35 vs 2016 Maxima Race

As I pulled to a red light in the left lane a 2016 maxima platinum comes to a hard stop to the right of me in the merge lane. He kept lurking forward so I did also and as we both launched perfectly I was ahead till about 40? After that he was pulling and I don't doubt I lost he's pushing 50 more hp and Not much more weight I just wish we would've gone more. I guess I'm not so surprised in the 8th gens performance from driving infiniti's all day. The 8th is definitely not slow but I'm surprised how my 4at I35 "kept up"
All done in Canada

Going to get deleted by mods...

CVT has a lot of loss compared to even a slushbox (new ones are supposed to be more efficient, though). He's 3-400 lbs heavier. The reason why you lost is b/c of gearing. Once the CVT topped at 6,200-ish, he's not going to leave max power unlike the longly geared 4 speed.

Your cats must be in good shape or he would've dusted you
