How to replace horn?

And with which one?

My horn is ultra high pitched for some reason. More than usual. It's funny but embarrassing. Is it blown out?

How do I go about replacing it and what should I buy? There's a bunch of aftermarket horns but I don't know which ones fit. Thanks

You have 2 horns. One is behind the grille on the hood latch support and the other is in with the engine by the coolant expansion tank. They are not the same pitch, one has a lower tone than the other. It seems that the lower tone horn has stopped working. Open the hood and have someone blow the horn while you check for the dead horn. It is easy enough to replace. Unplug one wire and remove one 14mm nut. Easy peasy.

You can get another Nissan horn or you can get other, louder horns. Non nissan horns may need some modification to install. I have Hella brand horns that are louder but needed some modification.

On the 02 and 03, they are next to each other by the hood latch.

It's good to know that Nissan pulled their heads out of their a$$ and put them side by side. I lost a lot of skin on my knuckles putting them side by side on my 2000.
