Crankshaft position sensor

Crankshaft position sensor
I have a 2002 maxima with a 3.5L out of a Nissan Quest. I still have the original transmission. I only swapped out the engine. My transmission has half of the hole for the crankshaft sensor to go in but the engine block doesn't have a hole for it. Should I just drill out a hole to plug the sensor in? I hate how it takes about 7 seconds for the car to start and it's also embarrassing when people stare at you when it doesn't want to start. Thanks for the help.

I honestly don't remember doing that. I think we just bolted the tranny to the engine and then installed it. I wanna just get another engine with a 6 speed tranny but they're so expensive. They cost equivalent to what my car is worth.

And I hope you trashed the cats when you did the swap or you will be doing it, again.
