Engine swap vq30de to a newer 2003 maxima body

Hey,I recently bought a 2001 20th anniversary maxims and the bodies rusting out,Love the cars over all, including its responsiveness because of the cable driven clutch.I want to know if I can engine swap the Vq30de engine from my 01 to a newer 2003 Nissan maxims body.My major worries are the compatibility with motor mounts.I know i can't get the best of both worlds in terms of the all the non working electronics inside, but the performance trumps all, thanks plz help

Instead of putting it in a 03 why not find a clean 00/01 and swap whatever parts you need in there ?? Motor mounts however are the same from 95-03 don't worry about that

If you like the VQ30DE-K then you should give the VQ35DE a try. It will probably save you time, money, and energy in the long run.

I'd go with this. 02/03 bodies aren't any better. Same rust issues. But this way, there'd be no mechanical parts needed to be swapped. Good 00/01s still exist.

This doesn't make any sense. Who mods a car to make less power and claims they're doing it for "performance"?

You'd be far better off taking the time/money and coming down south to look for a car. I see perfectly clean rust free 5 and 5.5 gens here all the time for cheap.

What's a "cable driven clutch"?
