Stillen Y-pipe owners, need to read this!!
just a heads up that can save u $252 bucks in the future...
SES light came on, disconnect battery trick didn't work..
took car in for oil change and letting them know about the SES light..
one of the wires on the 02 sensor, the one connected to the y-pipe, was cut by the the black piece of metal close to the sensor(hard to explain, but one look at where the sensor is in relation to the piece of metal, and you'll understand). Bend that piece of metal away from the sensor!!!! Evidently, that senors wire was close enough to rub against that piece of metal...
this is for the Stillen pipe, I don't know about the brands, but would hurt to check it out...i know it's kinda long, but if it could save a fellow Max owner $252, it's all gooood!
