2000 Infiniti I30: Tranny Fluid Question

Got a 2000 Infiniti I30 and the tranny fluid on the stick is about an inch above the H mark. Anyone know where I could access a line/hose so I could drain some of it and not have to climb under the car to drain it from the pan?

Thanks.

I overfilled the tranny once and used a small siphoning bulb from Walmart to extract the excess through the dipstick tube. The tube diameter is tiny in these cars and that was the only thing I found that fit. It took about 15 messy minutes to get out 400 mL of fluid so be prepared.

Are you checking the fluid level according to the steps in the manual? If you're checking it after a long highway drive, it'll read high.

It reads at that level whether its warm or cold. I'll have to check into finding something to siphon the fluid out of the dipstick tube. Thanks for the tip

take out the air vent and unhook one of the cooler hoses from transmission. Place the hose in an empty bottle and start the car for a few seconds and it should pump out a full quart.

Yep, same way you change the fluid.

Nearly every auto I've ever checked is overfilled and have been for many 10s of thousands of miles. Unless it's egregious, I don't even bother to correct it.
