Limp mode after motor swap. Normal?
Limp mode after motor swap. Normal?
My question is it normall for a car to still be in limp mode after a motor change and the only way to get it out of limp mode is to get the abs sensor from the donor car ?This is my situation right now car is fixed running but still at shop due to stuck in limp mode.

I've never heard of anything like that. ABS sensors get replaced all the time They're plug and play. I recently replaced the whole ABS computer with one from a salvage yard and it was plug and play too.
Limp mode is usually triggered when the computer thinks that something could damage the motor. If certain sensors read out of range, or don't read at all, it'll go into limp to protect itself. They probably have a sensor unplugged.
Are they sure it's actually limp mode? Unplugging the throttle body in a 3.5 will still let the car run and actually get some throttle response. Other sensors will do the same while not actually in "limp".
Have they pulled any codes?

I bought my sentra from a guy that couldn't get it out of limp mode after TB repair.
I reset the ECU and took it for a test drive. Problem solved lol But I didn't tell him. I did the relearns later to make sure.
Try the pedal dance.

can you send me a link on how to do the pedal dance? Also can u do it with the blutooth device?
You can do relearns, timing +-2 and idle adjustment with obd2, but no reset afaik.
Car is off to dealership to try to get them to reprogram
