2003 Maxima Engine Install car....

Hello,
Just spend 8 hours pulling a engine time to put it all back together.
I purchased a 2003 Maxima engine for the swap so maxima heart now.
I am doing an engine installation into a 3.5 2002 Altima.
This will engine up being a daily driver.
I will post pictures of the install as I am doing all the work front the top of the car, that's how I pulled the engine to begins with.

All I am wondering is should I use a 2003 maxima transmission for the swap or stick with the same Altima transmission I believe they will both work

Should just use the Alti transmission, less work.

I'm assuming AT?

Yes the transmission is going to be A/T.
My conclusion is I will be using the maxima transmission on th install.
Then I will install a transgo kit I the Altima transmission because you need a backup if you have an A/T.

I will be installing on Monday as this is my hobbie.

not in the Maxima world, it's oftentimes the other way around.

My AT has 170k/and close to 13 years of very hard miles on it and it's fine.

I'd double check the FSM wiring diagrams for both cars and closely compare. It should be fine since it's an 02 Alti, but I know 02/3 Maximas had CAN, and that can be somewhat of a PITA to deal with if going into a non CAN ECU/vehicle.

I have never heard of CAN. Googling didn't help

I have them side by side difference is the oil pan and also the dipstick.
there is an extra sensor on the Altima transmission that I will trying to swap over on the maxima transmission.

So everything is installed the driver side cv axle was different. The transmission is resting on the sub frame??? Never seen that before bad mount?

I am getting speed sensor codes I will try using the Altima transmission sensors to fix the the issue, but anyone ever heard of transmission on subframe?

I'm not sure what you mean when you say transmission on subframe. Maybe you could take some pictures.

I find this weird because the pan is even more shallow than an Altima pan
