5.5. gen automatic transmission pan bolt pattern

Is there a specific pattern or sequence to use when re-installing the transmission oil pan?

I thought I saw a diagram that showed the correct sequence but I can't seem to find it. Does anyone here have that diagram or am I thinking of something else?

I know it will be a criss-cross pattern of some sort but I'd like to know if there is a correct sequence to use.

Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply.

Page 13 is the regular oil pan. But I think that is the diagram that I was remembering.

I'm wondering if there is the same type of diagram for the transmission pan.

The AT section of the manual says:

Tighten four bolts in a criss-cross pattern to prevent dislocation
of gasket.

I understand how to do a criss-cross pattern, but the "four bolts" thing is a little confusing, since there are 21 bolts.

yes you crisscross, so you can bolt your pan evenly through out, don't tighten them, till all bolts are in, then tighten in crisscross so the load on the pan is spread out evenly.

Thanks for the reply,

I guess there isn't a specific order. I'll just criss-cross and be done with it.
