Heated seats/winter package question

I have a 02 I35 with the tan leather interior, I would love to have the heated seats front and rear. I see a 02 I35 in the pull a part near me but the interior is black(sucks) and it has all 4 heated seats and switches. Im trying to figure out if its worth the trouble of getting the seats even tho they are black and my interior is tan. Is there a simple way to remove the heater element or is it not worth the trouble?

If it were me, I'd get the seats and swap the seat covers; your other alternative would be to remove the heating elements and retrofit them to your seats.

In order to swap just the heating pads, you have to be able to do upholstery work. You have to remove the leather covering from the seat frame to access the heating pads.

A tough job if you have never done it.

Get rid of the tan interior and swap all the things

I wonder what a junkyard charges for all those interior parts. Tan is nothing but jizz stains.

If you get the rear seat warmers your lady friend will love it. You can put the seats at the love shak position and she won't be cold

How do you remove the seat covers though? At least just the bottom of the front seat covers? I think that would be alot easier but i dont want to damage the leather.
