5.5 foglight swap with 5.0 foglights

hello. I have a question and I have been searching on this forum and have not found a decisive answer yet, so here we go.
I recently purchased a 2003 maxima SE that had front end damage. Everything has been repaired and replaced (halo headlights included because, lets face it, it is 2016, non-halo lights look pathetic and sad). But I am running into the issue of fog lights. I can only find the stocks fog lights for the 5.5 and lets face it, they suck. I would like a set of the halo projector fog lights. But I don't want to retrofit them. Now, there are plenty of the projector halo fog lights for the 00-01 maximas, but for some reason, amazon, ebay, and a few other sites say they don't fit. But I want to know, why is this? does anyone else have experience fitting these lights in the 02-03 maximas? please help!

I dunno, maybe just me but the halo lights on the maxima look cheap and out of place. plus you willingly give up the throw of the stock HID's which aren't to bad, BUT compare them to the cheap ebay halo's the low beam is MUCH better.

To answer your actual question. The mounting points on the bumper for the fogs are different. Unless you fiberglass in the different mount you won't get them to fit.

So will they fit in the stock holes in the bumper for the fog lights? And as far as mounting, could I not just drill a new hole in the back of the hole where the fog lights go to fit the bolts through the back?

I guess my only question here is: will the fog light assemblies from the 00-01 maximas fit in the stock holes of the 02-03 maxima bumper for the fog lights?
I don't care about the mounting or wiring as those are things I can work with and take care of.

The answer is no, they won't fit.
