I have a 2000 5th gen Maxima I got gas yesterday and about 20 miles car died on me. Now cranks over and can smell that it is getting fuel, but wont start. I changed the Camshift senor still nothing!

Any thoughts on what it might be?

 

Check code first?

 

There's two crank sensors, also. Clean them and see what happens. If nothing, try swapping them one at a time with junkyard parts (5 finger...)

I hope you checked codes if the light is on lol.

 

camshaft sensor > with a multi-meter check it should be 1440ohms-1760ohms if Hitachi

if OK no need to change it.
