WAY TOOO HIGH, for the age and Mileage? I mean you can get car for way less than that and lower mileage. I think the seller think's it's a jewel collector. Apparently private seller try to get much they can but reality is there's not gonna get what they are trying to sell for.
Just glancing at the pictures, that car is WELL maintained on the surface. If internally it's been cared for as well, it's going to be a great car. Also, a stick...how often are these popping up anymore. But 215k miles, come on man, that's at best a hobby track car now, not a daily driver. Bluebook retail that car is probably $2000. That said, there is someone out there willing to pay $5-6k all day every day. So they will hold out for a decent offer.
Looks like an HLSD car so that's a plus.
It's in Colorado so it may have seen a lot of snow and salt. Clearly a minus. There could be a lot of rust issues hiding there.
Price is way too high anyway.
For that price you could buy a 100% rust free car from the south, ship it wherever you are and have money left over.
Cars in the south are cheaper and most have zero rust issues.

VIN is wrong just by the first character. "J" means it was from Asia, an actual import. Maximas for the USDM stopped being built in Asia in 2001 with the first batch of 2002 Maximas. Meaning there are no 2003 USDM Maximas starting with a "J" in the vin number. They ae lying right off the bat in the ad.

The 6th gen cars (2004) were the first Maximas made in the US.
I paid 3500 for my completely rust and scratch free 5 speed from Florida last year. It did have 170k on which was a little high but it was a barely second owner car with every single maintenance and repair receipt from the dealer. So I at least need knew it was extremely well taken care of.
Without seeing the car, that's a tough call. These cars are at the bottom end of depreciation, you really can't go too much lower without someone paying you to take the car.
That said, if it runs good, was well maintained, had brand new tires on it, blows cold AC...it might be worth a little more then bluebook. If it was exceptional condition at 86k, you could pay $4000 and feel good about it. If it needed a lot of work, chances are the repair bills would cost more then the car is worth, so getting it for $1800 would at least make it worth trying.

I wish everyone would price their 5.5 Maxima like this guy! I remember when I was in the market for this car in 2004 my first choice was an s2000 but I was recently married and knew I would need the back seat for a child. Both cars were going for 18 -20k at the time. I was happy to have the four doors and a manual. It's interesting to see how little the s2k depreciated compared to this car.
The reality is that Kelley Blue Book is beating the hell out of this car so if you can get it for less why not. You could use that money for repairs.
