Weird clutch issue.
Weird clutch issue.
Hi guys. Searched and searched to no avail. I have this weird problem with my clutch.
2003 SE 6 speed.
When the car is cold everything is fine. The problem happens when the car has been shut off warm or after I have parked somewhere and leave again before the engine has had time to cool off.
When I start the car with the clutch in and there is this slight metallic sound coming from the transmission area and the clutch kind of slaps my foot.
I have also disabled the clutch start switch under the dash. I start the car without pressing the clutch but when I press the clutch to put in gear there is about a 1/2 to 1 inch or so play where it just feels like nothing until it engages the clutch. Sometimes this will happen also randomly driving but rarely. Otherwise everything shifts smooth and runs fine.
I hope I have described this well enough. I'm going to get someone to start the car for me while looking at the slave cylinder next maybe I can see something.
I have already re bled the clutch but the problem still remains.
Hoses look all intact no bulges or anything.
I'm guessing it maybe just replace the slave and master cylinders but was wondering if anyone has come across this before I can't find anything about it in the service manual or on the forums.
Thanks
