Hi, I'm hoping this forum is still active to get some help. I've got 2002 maxima se automatic with 175,000 miles on it Mostly trouble free but it is getting old... Now it cranks but no start. I've done a bunch of searches but haven't seen my exact situation.
Ok last few weeks it has hesitated very briefly to start when cold but fine after that. Today will crank over and over, but not start. Security light does not stay on when starting. Headlights stay on and don't dim. No codes.
Any ideas?

Thanks. I have problem getting good search results on the forum. My car performance has been good, no service engine light. I hate to get it towed for something simple I'm older woman, I wouldn't work on it myself but I find it's good to do some research before paying a mechanic. This forum has saved me before from being taken advantage of by a dealership. Appreciate the link.

 

For effective search, use "Advanced Search", and "Search Titles Only". And good keywords; in your case, "crank no start" will do it.
