Radiator fan

Hello friends

after replacing the defected radiator i have noticed that only the left fan is working if i turn on the AC or if i"m waiting for the engine to warm up.

is it normal ?

when the right fan should start working ?

thank you very much for your help

Both fans should come on at the same time. There is only one control signal that goes to both fans simultaneously.

You have a bad fan.

I just replace both of my fan motors on my 2001 maxima A/T.
The temp should be always below 203ºF
the symptoms that led up to me replacing both of mine were
the one fan spins sometimes and the other fan spins sometimes but as the temp went to 214ºF they both would spin on a hogher speed.

The fans are to both begin spinning at 203ºF or when the A/C is on.
They fail intermittenly.

Coolant temperature is usually no more than 203º but under certain conditions could higher. That's why the fans have a high speed that kicks in at 212º.

Under normal conditions, you will see the coolant temperature constantly going up and down between 180-190º and 203º. The low end number varies based on the thermostat's operating characteristics.
