I posted my question in general section and got no reply.

​​​​​​My pump whines a bit, but maybe for a few seconds and ONLY after it sits for 30 minutes or so after a run and is restarted.. It goes away in 3-4 seconds or so. Cold/first starts are no problem and no whine. Other starts are fine...it's only the 30 minute thing that I notice it on No other issues. New filter 30,000 miles ago. Pump Is original on my 183,000 miles.

Is this anything concerning? It doesn't seem to get any worse. Been doing it for maybe a year or more. Just thought I'd ask. It's strange.

Might be a pump going out. But they usually whine randomly. Only way to tell is test the pump itself by checking fuel pressures .
180 k though.Hard to tell.

 

Thanks for your replies. I'm going to hold tight. Put in some neutra131 which I thought helped it at one time but then i ran out of fluid. See if it helps. Supposed to lubricate the pumps.

I don't know fuel pressure measuring and right now can't dig into it.
