6 Speed Swap Info for 00-01
Feel free for anyone to add to this.
I am in the slow process of researching and collecting, 6 speed parts for my 01.
I have researched many things so far,but the shifter assembly and cables seem to be the hardest to get.So this post will center on them. it seems the yards just scrap these parts.
I will update this with where i found them (if i do)and price
Picture below shows these parts needed.
Conclusions:
1. Brake pedal for 00-03 the same
2. Clutch pedal for 00-03 the same
3. Clutch master same for 00-03

I think you're going to have a hard time finding used 6-speed parts other than the tranny itself.
I think less than 10% of the cars were 6-speed and a lot of those are being held onto.
I've seen a lot of Maximas in the U-Pull it yards but only a few 5-speeds and never a 6-speed.
The demand for the smaller parts is very low since they rarely fail. The effort to remove them is pretty high compared to what they can sell them for if they even can.
I agree with JSutter. Find a wrecked or really beat 6-speed donor car.
You might pay more for the tranny and parts than for a whole car. Even with all the parts you'll probably still be missing something.
You might also look into buying a 6th gen donor. I know the tranny is better. I'm not 100% sure the pedals and other small parts are the same but I'd guess they are. No need to redesign something they're getting rid of.
