HID/LED Fogs

HID/LED Fogs
Hello, recently acquired a 2002 gle for free from my aunt. I have grown to love this car and have down lots of maintenance on it. After polishing my headlight housings I moved onto the fogs. Anyone have any recommendation for hid/led conversions? Can I just stick any h3 HID kit into the housings and wire them in and re aim them or will I blind everyone I pass? Is tinting the fog lights beneficial? I quite like the look. Thank you for any advice, I dont want to rice out this car as its just a nice daily but Id love some brighter, non-obnoxious lights.

For fogs, any h3 hid kit will work. You won't blind anyone for the glass is diffused (not clear like the headlights). I have 3k colored bulbs and like the look. I have walked 20-50 feet in front of my car at night and there is no way I could blind anyone with them. Now, putting HID bulbs in a halogen headlight housing is a different story. Those are blinding bright and annoy the crap out of me on the highway. If you go the HID route for the fogs, get a 35watt kit. The 50watt kit runs extremely hot and can burn the housing.
From looking around, the LED's are slightly brighter than the halogen bulbs if you want to go that route. HID's still are the brightest of the three at the moment.
Lexus capsules are a yellow thimble looking capsules that you sleeve over a clear bulb like a condom to give it a bright yellow look. They were popular on Lexus fog lights from years ago.
