I understand that having clear sidemarkers is technicaly illegal even if you have proper color bulbs. This is my current setup. My question is, can I wire the sidemarkers to a switch within the car so that I can turn the light on or off? Most cars I see on the road dont even have sidemarkers so why do we HAVE to hae it? I could leave the lights off (and avoid the pinkish color in the back instead of red) and still have clear markers. Would cops even know the lights should shine? If I got into a situation where I needed them on I could just flip the switch. What do you guys think?

 

Not sure how you are going to do but it is a good idea. Btw what is a HD Grille that you have in your sig?

 

Just put a switch inline with the power wire to the side marker.

Take the + wire, cut it, splice wires to both sides and run them to the dask, wire switch to the ends of the wires.

Do the same for the other side.

Don't get too excited about this. It's just the name I gave to my Home Depot mesh grille. The only difference is that I put it behind the valence and the main grille area. Sorry to disapppoint you!
