03 i35 weird noise near the gas tank area?

Lately ive been hearing a noise from the fuel pump/ gas tank area of my car once it warms up. Its not a normal fuel pump humming sound, more so like a constant drainage/ or kinda slight boiling weird sound. I can hear it even while driving and at a stop. I dont know If the its the pump itself but its in the gas tank area.

have you ever replaced the fuel filter? its worth a shot, $20-$30 and less than an hour of time. if it hasn' t been replaced theres always a chance at this age, someone else was talking about this watery boiling noise recently, but cant remember the verdict.

if you go ahead and do it, dont forget the O-Ring around the filter as well. pretty important to change it when replacing the in tank fuel filter. again its easy but don't skip replacing that, need a nice seal there.

2K2 / 2K3: Filter: 16400-2Y505 Seal / O-ring: 17342-01A00

there is a seal type o-ring that should be replaced , here is the write up I used, did this twice now ! and getting ready to do a 3rd time.

I think i found the problem, I was changing out the pass rear strut because i kept hearing a strut sound going over bumps. I take the wheel off and come to find out the exhaust pipe is in two peices nearly right near the gas tank. so that maybe why im hearing that bubbling sound. Wow. gonna get that fixed right away. was sounding like boiling water almost.
