Side Marker Light Access

Sure, I could read the FSM, or "search", but I'm bored right now and thought I'd bother you boneheads instead this time.

Do I really have to remove the rear bumper cover to replace my rear side marker lights? Wtf???

Replaced my front lights no problem with these:

Amazon Amazon

Wow, significantly brighter! I bough the same pair in red for the rear but couldn't find easy access. Any ideas?

I believe, i pop them out through the trunk. If you try to Pop them out through the front 99% of the time you will break them.

you can pop them out through the front with a flat blade screwdriver but it requires a great deal of effort. and protect the surrounding area from scratching/gouging.

they pop right out with minimal effort, wrap a cloth or paper towel around a flat head and viola. this is not hard, an sometimes requires medium effort, sometimes they pop out so easy its surprising they stay in driving.

could be aftermarket that makes it loose, i have smoked aftermarket lenses and amber and red bulbs.

i am starting to remember stock first time ever was a little harder but. easy peasy at the end of the day in the context of things

Any rounded trim panel tool pops them right out.

Wow ok, time got away from me! Thanks for all the tips! Seems like the consensus is to pry them off from the outside. I'll give it a shot! I'll let you know what I break!

Easy peasy. Same procedure for all four. Guess I didn't have to jack up the front and remove fender liners

Image from the Owner's Manual and a nice, concise video. Good thread and title for future searchers.

Crazy bright!
