Engine making grinding/knocking noise

I have a big problem and I need all the help I can get, I turned on my car today and once It got warmed up I noticed a weird grinding knocking noise coming from the engine bay. from what I think it might be the AC compressor timing chain or it has a bad pulley. I have uploaded a video so you guys can hear it what do you guys think.

I would try to isolate the sound first.

I would remove the serpentine belt which runs the alternator and air conditioning. The sound will stop if its one of those. Which would leave the timing chain related things.

those engines are known for being really reliable and not known for timing chain issues, I'm wondering if the cats are clogged up.

I took it to the mechanics and the mechanic has no idea what the issue could be , today I will get the motor mounts replaced and the 2 belts replaced.

I didn't say to have the belts replaced. They might still be ok.

I said to remove the serpintine belt.

No point replacing engine mounts till you isplate where the noise is coming from.

I'm trying to save you some money.

Any good mechanic should be able to tell where the noise is coming from. Since this one doesnt, get a second opinion from a better mechanic.

Great news no more grinding noise or knocking noise my car was due for motor mounts (it had the original mounts 200k miles), I bought all 4 motor mounts for $80 & the 2 belts. Once everything was replaced I started the car and let it warm up for 10min and no noise at all!!!!!!!!!!!! Drove it 30 miles just to make sure and everything sounds good

That sound was not mounts. I imagine the shop adjusted something/addressed some issue with/related to the drive belt system to solve the rattling but the OP isn't aware.

I was there at the mechanic shop when they replaced all parts (4 motor mounts and 2 belts) , I think the reason why my car was making the noise was because the engine was sagging, passenger side motor mount was the worst of all of them. Belts were okay but it only cost me $15 in total for both belts on Rockauto.com

Alright then, motor mounts it is. I've certainly been known to have been wrong before. Glad it's good to go. Take care of it and it'll go another 200k!
